The College of Education utilizes an electronic portfolio to assist in assessing the progress of students uniformly.
Specifically, University of Phoenix has contracted with an electronic portfolio software company to provide accounts to our students. The TaskStream® electronic portfolio system allows the University and students to collect a wide variety of artifacts for evaluation and/or demonstration of best work. Standards-based rubrics are used to assess artifacts and provide students with feedback on their progress in meeting program standards. The electronic portfolio also has been adapted to collect and monitor students' submission of required program progression and completion documents.
Additionally, students are encouraged to develop personal presentation portfolios and resource folios. These can be used to share coursework with potential employers or as a resource when working in the field.
